Booking & Policies

How can I book my stay with United Home B&B?

You can book directly through our official website for the best rates.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our Standard Rate bookings can be cancelled free of charge up to 7 days before arrival. Non-refundable plans cannot be cancelled or changed. We can provide documentation to help you claim on your travel insurance if needed.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit cards in most cases. Bank transfers for UK guests are available upon request (please contact us by email).

What are your check-in and check-out times?

Check-in: 4:00pm – 9:00pm. For late arrivals, please contact us in advance; self check-in can be arranged.
Check-out: by 10:30am.

Can I request early check-in or late check-out?

Yes, please let us know in advance. We will do our best to accommodate your request. Luggage storage is always available. Early check-in can only be confirmed a few days before arrival.

Do you provide luggage storage?

Yes. Upon prior arrangement, you may leave luggage earlier on the day of check-in, or store it after check-out until 7:00pm in the guest lounge. We recommend keeping your valuables with you.

Do you accept children?

Yes, but only children aged 6 and above. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Do you provide baby cots or extra beds?

No. Due to space limitations, we cannot provide baby cots or extra beds.

Are pets allowed?

No. We have two shy cats of our own, so we are unable to accommodate pets.

What is the maximum occupancy per room?

Each room accommodates up to 2 guests.

Rooms & Facilities

Is breakfast included? What options do you offer?

Breakfast is included with all bookings (except long-stay). Guests can choose between a traditional English cooked breakfast or our unique Hong Kong style breakfast. We also provide a selection of self-served items. Special dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice.

What time is breakfast served?

Breakfast is served daily from 8:30am – 9:30am in our guest lounge.

Is there a guest kitchen? Can I cook my own meals?

Yes. A guest kitchen with a fridge, microwave and basic facilities is available. We kindly ask guests to enjoy food in the guest lounge and to wash up after use, except for breakfasts served by us.

Is parking available? Do I need to reserve?

Yes. We have one driveway space, prioritised for disabled guests. Street parking outside is free with CCTV coverage. Each room may only park one car. Please inform us in advance if you are driving, and we will send you a parking guide.

Is WiFi available in the rooms?

Yes. High-speed WiFi internet is available free of charge throughout the house.

Do you provide daily housekeeping?

Yes, rooms are cleaned daily unless a Do Not Disturb sign is displayed. For long stays, cleaning is provided once per week.

Is laundry service available?

Yes. Paid wash & dry service is available (minimum half a day). An iron can also be borrowed if needed.

Do you have an elevator? What floor are the rooms on?

No, there is no elevator. All guest rooms are located on the first floor accessed by stairs.

Do you have accessible facilities?

Unfortunately, due to the building layout and design, we are not able to provide wheelchair-accessible facilities.

Location & Getting Here

Where is United Home B&B located?

We are in Old Trafford, Manchester, near Manchester United’s stadium, about 10 minutes by car from the city centre.

How do I get here from Manchester Airport or Piccadilly Station?

  • From the Airport: take the Metrolink to Firswood (7-min walk), or Uber (£20–25, 15–20 mins).
  • From Piccadilly Station: take the Metrolink to Trafford Bar (8-min walk), or bus 15 from Piccadilly Gardens (20–25 mins, drops at our door), or Uber (£10–12, 10–15 mins).

Are there tram or bus stops nearby?

Yes. Bus 15 stops right outside, with direct service to the city centre. Nearby tram stops include Trafford Bar (recommended), Firswood, and Old Trafford.

How long does it take to get to Manchester city centre?

  • By car: 10–15 minutes (3–4 miles)
  • By tram: 2–4 stops
  • By bus: 20–25 minutes
  • On foot: approx. 45 minutes

How far is Old Trafford Stadium?

Walking takes around 20–25 minutes and driving takes just 5 minutes on non-match days. On match days, we recommend walking due to heavy traffic and high parking fees. The walk offers a lively atmosphere with food stalls and fan activities.

Stays & Experiences

Are you suitable for business travellers?

Yes. Many of our guests are in Manchester for business trips, meetings, or training. We provide high-speed WiFi, comfortable desks in all rooms, and a quiet environment. Free parking is available, and we are well-connected by tram and bus to the city centre, MediaCity, and major business venues including The Point at Emirates Old Trafford (just a 10-minute walk).

Do you accept exchange students for long stays?

Yes, we welcome exchange students studying at University of Manchester or Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU). Our location is well connected by public transport to both campuses.

What facilities are available for long-stay guests and exchange students?

For long stays, we provide self-catering facilities in the guest kitchen, laundry access, and weekly housekeeping. All bills and WiFi are included. Please contact us in advance to discuss long-stay rates. Cooked breakfast is not included for long-stay rates.

Are there large event venues nearby?

Yes. We are close to Old Trafford Stadium and Old Trafford Cricket Ground. City centre concert venues such as AO Arena, Co-op Live, O2 Victoria Warehouse and Heaton Park are also easily accessible by tram or Uber.
